Advising client on planning feasibility and strategy to achieve all extensions. Preparation of architectural drawings, planning documents, submission of two applications and liaison with the Council theroughout the process. 4D Planning were then commissioned to draft and prepare the building regulations and to obtain the structural calculations from the engineer to meet all relevant Building Control requirements. 4D Planning recommended an engineer, partywall surveyor and Building Control Inspector to assist with the development.
Our client occupies a unique detached property which has been previously extended. Our client instructed us to assist with advising on the best way to maximise the habitable space of the family home while also retaining the special character of the property. 4D Planning prepared a number of sketches and discussed several options to develop the property which included extending the property double storey on the side vs extending at the rear with a large roof extension and converting the garage. 4D Planning advised the client on the best way to extend while meeting the relevant planning policies and planning guidance. 4D Planning liaised with Barnet Council following submission of a lawful development application and a householder planning application.
Both applications were approved by the Council.
