Loft Conversion, New Rooflights
Alterations to loft/roof including 2 rear and front facing rooflights to provide habitable space.
4D Planning were instructed to convert the loft space of the property to create an additional bedroom. We had some unique challenges to overcome such as the size of the loft and limited headheight and the Management of the estate who proved to be very difficult to negotiate with.
We ended up achieving a lawful development certificate from Barnet Council and the approval of the management of the estate, however it was necassary to reduce the first floor ceiling height to achieve sufficient headroom in the loft. We produced the building regulations and tender pack for the builders and liaised with the contractors and structural engineer to ensure that everything would be approved and built according to the plans.
