Change of use to Sui Generis
Use of ground floor and lower ground floor as pottery and arts and crafts centre, erection of shed at rear.
4D Planning advised the client on the feasibility of opening up an arts and crafts premises with a cinema room, cafe and other ancillary uses. The premises was previously a shop (A1) and was vacant for a short while, nevertheless the proposed uses would provide a communal service, one that did not exist in the local area. It would aim to engage the community to connect and provide an after-school activity place for children and adults throughout the week and weekend. 4D Planning discussed the functions of the business and analysed the primary and secondary uses in order to correctly apply for planning permission. It was a challenging task but an interesting one. We produced the drawings and application documents and liaised with Croydon throughout the process until planning permission was GRANTED.
