Shop Front Alterations/ Signage.
Retrospective application for installation of a new shopfront (including rollershutter) and awning. Retention of display of fascia sign (not illuminated)
4D Planning were contacted by the owner of the retail shop/ nail salon. The council had requested that they apply for retrospective planning permission for the awning, shutters and signage as well as the overal appearance of the shop front. We consulted with Tower Hamlets Council and realised that the current situation was not going to work and that changes were needed to ensure that the council would grant planning permission. We produced the design and architecture drawings for the new shop front to respect the conservation area and street scene while ensuring the client would be satisfied with the proposed changes. Planning Permission was granted by Tower Hamlets Planning Department.
