Change of usage, Air-conditioning unit
Change of use from flexible A2, B1 or D1 to Sui Generis to accommodate a beauty salon. Installation of air-conditioning unit to front elevation.
4D Planning advised the client on the feasibility of converting the mixed use commercial unit to a beauty salon (Sui Generis). We advised that the proposed change of use would be acceptable and would make a positive contribution to the area, both in terms of a unique service and in terms of employment and footfall. We were then instructed to prepare a planning application with the drawings and Planning Statement and to obtain an Acoustic Report for the air-conditioning unit. Following discussions with the planning officers the application was granted permission.
