Single storey rear/ side extension to ground floor flat in Conservation Area
Erection of single-storey rear/side wraparound extension at ground floor level incorporating rear glazed sliding/folding doors and rooflights.
4D Planning advised the client on the feasibility of obtaining permission to extend the rear of the ground floor flat. The brief was to create a contemporary extension using high quality materials that were not a feature of the local area. The property was also adjacent to a listed building. 4D Planning prepared the drawings and produced a Design and Access Statement to explain the design and how it complies with planning policy. We submitted three applications with different materials and depth. All three applications were granted permission.
4D Planning were commissioned to produce the building regulations and to source the structural calculations from the engineer for Building Control's approval and for the builders.
