4D PLANNING were instructed to advise the client on the feasibility to achieve planning permission for the change of use of the ground floor commercial unit to residential use. We researched the relevant planning policies, site constraints and precedent along the parade. We established that there was a reasonably good chance to achieve permission for residential for part of the ground floor. We were instructed to prepare the planning application and architectural drawings. Richmond Council granted planning permission for the new flat.
