Replacement of windows, new front door, new rear patio doors and alterations to the rear patio and stairs and, an enlargement of skylight at the rear. Installation of external staircase with black painted railings at ground floor level to rear garden.
4D Planning were instructed to obtain planning permission and conservation area consent for works to a semi-detached house. The works included alterations to the facade, replacement of all windows and doors to match the character and style of the building in context with the conservation area character. 4D Planning applied separately for an external rear staircase from ground floor level connecting the interior space with the lower ground floor garden area. 4D Planning produced the architectural drawings, advised the client on the planning considerations and liaised with the planners and conservation officer until the applications were approved. We were then commissioned to produce the building regulations and to liaise with Building Control.
