4D Planning's role

4D Planning assisted the client with establishing the feasibility of converting the vacant premises to Sui Generis (A1 hairdressers and D1 academy). Following a lot of research and discussions with the client, we agreed to prepare a planning application and prepare the architectural drawings for the change of use. We prepared a waste proforma and obtained the relevant crime impact assessment recommendations. We also advised the client on the A1 vs D1 ratio and we analysed the business plan to ensure that the proposed use would not breach planning rules.

Manchester City Council were keen for the vacant premises to be put back into a viable use and they were convinced that the proposed change of use will not harm the vitality of the high street or town area. Furthermore the proposed use would provide employment and a cost effective service to the local community, therefore the application was approved.
