What types of Planning Applications are there?

What is a development?

“Development” is the carrying out of building, engineering, mining or other operations in, on, over or under land, or the making of any material change in the use of any buildings or other land (Section 55 of the TCPA Act 1990).
There are certain types of developments which are permitted and do not require planning permission. These developments fall under the “permitted development” category. Please click here for more information on Permitted Development.
