Excavation to enlarge basement including formation of front and rear lightwells with grilles over.
4D Planning assisted the client to obtain planning permission for a planning application that had lapsed for a basement excavation. The design was to be completely different with a unique and fresh layout to meet the requirements of the applicant and the growing family. We designed the a new staircase and lightwells with safety and fire escape measures to ensure the layout did not just meet the client's requirements but also the statutory requirements of planning and building control. Despite an objection from the neighbour Wandsworth Council granted planning permission.
