Mixed-use scheme planned for Liverpools Renshaw Street.

Tuesday 23 May 2017

New commercial space and aparthotel units could be created as part of mixed-use plans for Liverpool’s Renshaw Street.

Applicant YPG Renshaw St Ltd is proposing to transform part of the former Rapid hardware store into the city centre development, which would also feature some residential studios alongside the aparthotel accommodation as a total of 160 units are created.

According to a planning application submitted to Liverpool City Council, new commercial space would be situated on the ground floor and basement of the site, and other facilities including a cycle store, plant room, offices, a reception, store room, laundry room, a gym and a lobby would also be incorporated into the scheme.

If the plans are given the go ahead, part of the existing 48-54 Renshaw Street building would be demolished to make way for the 11-storey development.
