The vision will open up the city, paving the way for you to eat, shop, work and enjoy everything from museums to theatres late into the night.

New vision for London to become a 24-hour city.

As well as later opening hours, this vision also plans to make London safer with the help from Night Czar Amy Lamé and Chair of Night Time Commission Philip Kolvin QC, who’ll bring together the night-time industry from boroughs to police and make London safer to work and travel at night.

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has launched London's first ever 24-hour London vision.

It is amazing to look back at this article after so many years and to see what has changed!!! Do you think the same?

This vision sets out the Mayor’s plan to turn London into a leading 24-hour global city, it focuses on building a night-time culture which:

  • promotes culture and leisure for all ages and interests
  • increases opening hours
  • ensures safety for residents, visitors and night-time workers
  • works closely with boroughs and the police to create a balanced and sustainable night time offer

The Mayor has already launched the  first ever Night Tube service at weekends and he also has plans to protect pubs, music venues, LGBT+ venues.

Using this vision, Chair of Night Time Commission Philip Kolvin QC and Night Czar Amy Lamé will now work with industry experts on bringing the vision to life.
